Things I care about.

Running / Lifting

Fitness has always been an essential part of my life. I ran varsity track and cross country during all four years of high school. Running, weirdly enough, was the first thing I ever had a passion for. At the peak of senior year, I ran 2:03.01 in the 800m. Since then, I’ve taken a more holistic approach to fitness and focused also on strength training. My current goal is to walk onto the UChicago track team this spring (I’ll need to drop a little less than three seconds). Follow my training on Strava, where I’ve logged over 3,200 miles (as of July, 2026).

Piano

I first started playing piano at the age of 5, but for many years that followed, I rarely practiced. Though, for the low effort I put in, I developed a notable amount of talent. Throughout high school, I began to take it more seriously and won a couple of awards and a few competitions. Now, I’ve pivoted to playing for enjoyment and have taken on less-technically impressive pieces than I used to. Currently, I’m learning to play “Merry-Go-Round of Life”.

Coding

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the idea of building something. This desire manifested itself in different ways throughout my childhood: first Legos, then music composition, and eventually coding. Unfortunately, a lot of my old projects have been lost due to various reasons, but a collection of my newest projects can be found here. Recently, I have been exploring reinforcement learning through reading Sutton and Barto alongside Google’s foundational research papers.
